FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT BAT SIZES DO THE VARO PRODUCTS FIT?

  • ARC 12oz SMALL: Fits 2 1/4” Barrel Baseball Bats
  • ARC 12oz: Fits 2 3/4” & 2 5/8” Barrel Baseball Bats
  • ARC 12oz SOFTBALL: Fits 2 1/4” Barrel Softball Bats
  • COR 20oz: Fits 2 3/4” & 2 5/8” Barrel Baseball Bats
  • RAP +4oz: Fits most bats (baseball, softball, 2 1/4”, 2 3/4” & 2 5/8”

HOW DO I FIND THE SIZE OF MY BAT BARREL?

The size of your bat barrel is usually measured in inches (e.g., 2 5/8”), and is typically written on the barrel of a bat. Most barrel widths are 2 1/4”, 2 5/8”, or 2 3/4”.

WILL VARO PRODUCTS FIT SLOW PITCH OR YOUTH BATS?

Yes, we have Varo weights that fit youth bats, softball bats, big barrel bats, including wood bats and metal bats. Our Varo weights fit bats as indicated, and please ensure the correct fit Varo for your bat type. Contact us if you have any questions about the sizing.

THE VARO ARC IS LIGHTER THAN MANY OTHER BATTING WEIGHTS, WHY?

The Varo ARC’s revolutionary weight distribution technology disperses weight to the end of the bat, providing a weighted ‘barrel feel.’ Our weight distribution technology achieves a more efficient weighted swing, allowing use of less weight on your bat. For those players who desire a more traditional weighted feel, the Varo COR provides a traditional feel, with all of our Varo technology.

WHY IS THE VARO RAP ONLY 4 OUNCES?

The Varo RAP adds 4 ounces to your bat for live hitting – which is the perfect weight. If you have 30 ounce bat, you’re now hitting with a 34 ounce bat when you slip on the RAP. Because the RAP is designed for live hitting, the combination of taper and barrel weights provides a natural feel that optimizes moment of inertia. All while helping you maintain your natural swing during hitting.

HOW DOES THE RAP PROTECT MY BAT? WILL THERE BE SOME MARKS?

The RAP features vibration dampening technology, synthesized with compression layering for realistic ball flight and ultimate bat protection. During its lifetime, the RAP may become discolored and/or experience marking from baseballs. This is natural, as the RAP is designed to take the impact while minimizing the wear on the bat. While the bat may in some instances sustain slight ball markings, the RAP is designed to take a majority of the impact and ball markings. (Imagine the markings on a bat without the RAP!). Please note that rubber cage balls are significantly more abrasive on bats and may reduce the lifespan of the RAP. Do not use the RAP if it is damaged or excessively worn. Although the RAP is intended to minimize abrasion on the bat, use of the RAP does not guarantee protection of the bat.

WHY IS THE VARO COR NOT AVAILABLE IN A 2 1/4” SIZE?

With the COR’s 20oz heavier weight and feel (compared to the ARC’s 12oz and the RAP’s 4oz), it is designed for older athletes using larger barrel bats. However, we pride ourselves on providing the perfect product for every swing – that’s why we’ve found that the Varo ARC 12oz SMALL and the Varo RAP 4oz provides the perfect mix of weight and barrel feel for younger baseball players swinging 2 1/4” barrel baseball bats.

HOW DO I APPLY THE VARO ARC OR COR ON MY BAT?

Slide the handle of your bat through the top (which says “VARO”) end of the Varo weight and slide the Varo weight towards the end of the barrel of your bat. The Varo weight should ‘catch’ on the taper of your bat, so that the top of the Varo weight (which says “VARO”) is on the barrel, and the bottom of the weight is closer to your hands. If you are still having trouble, look inside your Varo weight. The end with fins on the inside is the True Fit Core end, and this end should be closest to the handle of your bat.

WHEN AND WHERE SHOULD I USE MY VARO?

The Varo ARC and COR weights are designed and created to condition off-field, and dial-in your swing before stepping up to the plate. So, use your Varo ARC and COR in the on-deck circle before stepping to the plate and off-the field to condition baseball and softball specific muscles (meaning, you can condition in your backyard). Just remember, the Varo ARC and COR weights are not designed for live batting so don’t strike baseballs or softballs (or any other objects, including tees) with the ARC or COR on your bat.The Varo RAP id designed and created for live hitting, and to protect the barrel of your bat during travel and storage. So, use your Varo RAP during soft-toss, tee work, in the cages, and in live BP. We suggest keeping your Varo ARC on your bat anytime you’re not hitting, so that it protects your bat, especially keeping the sweet spot out of harm’s way and from getting scratched or dented.

CAN I HIT WITH THE VARO BAT WEIGHT ON?

The Varo RAP – Yes! The Varo ARC and COR – No!

CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS: INFORMATION ABOUT PROP 65
What is Proposition 65?

The State of California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (commonly referred to as Proposition 65 or Prop 65) requires that consumers be provided with a warning when an environment or product may contain or expose them to any of the chemicals on the Prop 65 list.

What kinds of chemicals and materials are on the list?

The list contains a wide range of chemicals and materials which in some cases may be naturally occurring everyday elements, or synthetic. This list is updated periodically and includes more than 900 chemicals, many that are normally present in common materials, such as vinyl.

What does Proposition 65 require?

In order to comply with Prop 65, manufacturers are required to clearly post the warning label on or at the point of sale of applicable products if they may be sold in California in order to provide adequate notice to consumers.

What does a Proposition 65 warning mean?

It means that the manufacturer issuing the warning believes that one or more listed chemicals is present in its products, even if it is only present in trace quantities. Please be assured that Varo Baseball products labeled in accordance with Proposition 65 comply with all applicable governmental standards, including those under the jurisdiction of the CPSC. Varo Baseball labels applicable products as follows:
